A couple of weeks ago I went to a photography workshop given by Rob Walbers, organized and in by Het Depot in Leuven. In order to be able to participate, you had to send 5 images and motivate why you wanted to follow the workshop. To be honest, I had never heard of Rob or seen any of his work up untill a week before the workshop. But, eager to learn, I applied and got in.
Rob had some very interesting insights, not so much technical but motivational and inspiring.
If there's no light/only red lights/smoke all over the place, that counts for every photographer there, so the only thing you can do so make the best of it, right then and there.
Then we got to choose 2 concerts to go to and shoot at Het Depot. But since I was already going to a bunch (shooting for Drieduizend), I didn't put myself on the list. The picture above is one if the shots I made (take at the Das Pop concert).
Tomorrow is the second part of the workshop, where Rob gives us feedback on our shots.
But unfortunatly, I can't be there tomorrow. My evening-class from the thurseday was moved to tomorrow (monday), and since we're nearing the end of the year, it's going to be a pretty important class.
I'll be sharing more shots in the coming weeks, stay tuned!
